Quincy Humane Society receives rescued pups

QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -

Four new puppies with a rough past have been turned over to the Quincy Humane Society.

They were brought in by the ASPCA. According to Quincy Humane Society Director Sally Westerhoff, their mother was involved in a dog fighting ring.

In March, 88 dogs were seized as part of a three-state dog fighting raid in Kansas Missouri and Texas.

Westerhoff says these dogs will be available for adoption on Monday.
