Some people came together for an event today hoping to knock cancer out of the park.
It was the 1st Annual Best of the Breast Softball Tournament in Hannibal. Teams competed raising money to help "Grab It By The Horns" a local organization that helps out those with cancer. Sheila Combs, founder of the organization and who also has cancer, said when one of the teams approached her about the tournament, she was filled with joy.
"Honestly, I cried. I (have) stage 4 (cancer) I'm about to the end of what treatments can be done for me and when they came to me and wanted to do (the tournament), I was ecstatic."
Team Coors Light headed by Scott Bowen hosted the tournament. Combs said she was surprised by the turnout and hopes to continue it every year.
