Man sought for running multiple scams

Posted:
RUSHVILLE, Ill. (WGEM) -

Police are asking you to be on the lookout for a man who recently scammed a woman out of 7-thousand dollars.

Rushville Police Chief Chris Edwards says Cranford approached the woman about making repairs to her house.  He then asked for money up front -and after he cashed the check - didn't come back.

Edwards says this is the same man who is wanted by the Pike County Sheriff's Department and other agencies around the nation for similar offenses. Cranford is said to be driving a black Chevy Truck with Texas registration.
