KEOKUK, Ia. (WGEM) -

Now Hiring... That's the call out to job seekers in Lee County as one company expands for the second time in a year.

And it couldn't' come at a better time for some searching for a job in Iowa's highest unemployed county.

The call center Thomas L. Cardella And Associates hopes to fill more seats with qualified workers because they're expanding the company.

Just a month ago, David Day would have never thought that he'd have a full-time job with medical benefits and paid vacation.

"I would apply for jobs and need hear back for weeks. Just to be denied. It was a pain," said Day.

That's until he applied at Thomas L. Cardella And Associates.

Day says the job is everything he's been desperately searching for in a county struggling with unemployment.

"The steady hours and the decent pay. It is a job and it's anything anyone would seek in a job," said Day.

Center Director Corey Nemmers says since the company is expanding more people like Day will have the opportunity to land a stable job.

Nemmers says they're hiring 40 to 50 more workers in the coming months.

"Individuals who are customer service friendly. Sales background is a plus, not necessary, but is a plus. Basically, customer service oriented friendly people," said Nemmers.

Nemmers say besides the pay of $10-13.50 in hour, the job offers bonus incentives.

If you would like to apply for a position you are encouraged to stop by their facility or apply online at www.tlcassociates.com.
