A Mexico, Missouri man is behind bars after being found in possession of a loaded weapon and drugs.
According to the Quincy Police Department, Jermie Pine, 31, was pulled over at 22nd and Jackson shortly after 2 AM Thursday morning for a routine traffic stop. After being alerted by the K9 unit, police searched the vehicle. Inside they found meth, cannabis, and a loaded firearm. Pine was arrested for Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, Possession of a controlled substance, Possession of meth, Possession of cannabis, and Traffic offenses.
The passenger in the vehicle, James Koons, 30, was arrested on an outstanding Pike County, IL warrant for failure to appear on a Possession of cannabis charge.
Both are currently lodged in the Adams County Jail.
