Macomb Police Chief Curt Barker says two men were arrested early Wednesday morning in connection with a residential burglary.

Officers were called to a residence in the 400 block of West Adams Street at approximately 4:30 a.m. for a burglary in progress. After searching the area, police arrested Robert D. Anderson, 22, of Macomb, who is believed to have entered the apartment and took electronics.

Police later searched a residence at 401 W. Adams St. where they found Darnielle Townsend, 20, of Chicago. Townsend was also arrested and charged in connection with the burglary.

At that residence, several items reported stolen in other recent burglaries were also found.

Both suspects were each charged with one count of residential burglary and Chief Barker says other charges are pending.
