MARION COUNTY, Mo. (WGEM) -

Authorities say a motorist was transferred to a nearby hospital Thursday afternoon after they collided with a MoDot semi truck west of Hannibal.

Missouri State Highway Patrol says the injured driver was northbound on Highway H shortly before 4 p.m. when they came to a stop at US 36. The driver was behind a camper and became impatient before driving around the vehicle and onto US 36.

As the vehicle pulled onto the highway, a MoDot truck collided with the SUV.

The injured driver was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital with moderate injuries. The driver of the MoDot truck was not injured.
