Annual Book Sale begins at the Hannibal Free Public Library

Bargain shoppers have a chance to browse through hundreds of books at the Hannibal Free Public Library.

The library is hosting a three day book sale. Organizers say when they opened up the this morning, they had a line out the door. This year's sale has more books than last year. In fact, organizers say they had to rent storage place just to hold all the books.

The library director says it's good to see the community so excited to read.

"It helps bring people to the library that we might not see other wise because people do like to have books in their home. And they're good books, they're still usable books," said Hallie Yundt Silver, the library director.

The book sale runs through Saturday, on the 3rd floor of the library.
