Local lemonade stand benefits less fortunate

A lemonade stand is a classic sign of summer, and Thursday two young Quincy girls were pouring cold drinks to help others.

Six year-old Isla Reekie and seven-year-old Gabby Caley's lemonade stand was set up near the corner of 24th and Jersey.  The girls decided to sell the refreshing summer drink to raise money for a less fortunate little girl in Bangladesh and explain why they wanted to help.

"To save this girl in Africa," said Caley.

"In the project I worked out because I've done this before," Reekie said.

The girls' lemonade must have hit the spot! They raised $17!
