Dozens of cars damaged in overnight act of vandalism in Keokuk

An act of vandalism stretching across the northern half of Keokuk damaged dozens of cars overnight.

Keokuk police say they've had 32 reports Wednesday morning of broken car windows from the 1200 block to the 2200 block of several streets.

Chief Dave Hinton says the calls started coming in at 3 a.m.

The windows appear to have been shot out. Whether it was a conventional firearm, a BB gun or something else is still unclear.

So far, police have no suspects.

If you've been targeted, you're asked to call Keokuk police at (319) 524-3131.
