A Labor Day tradition in Quincy continued this year at the Machinists Lodge as union members and their families gathered for a day of food and fun.
The event featured lunch, bingo and numerous activities for the kids.
Jeannie Thomas with the machinists union says today is a good reward for the workers hard efforts all year long.
"It's just kind of a end of the summer outlet for them. A lot of people don't want to travel out of town so it just means the fellowship or everyone getting together and having a good time before winter sets in," said Thomas.
Around 1000 union and family members attended Monday's event.
