Blandinsville police chief retiring after seven years

BLANDINSVILLE, Ill. (WGEM) -

Blandinsville Police Chief Justin Lundgren is retiring from the force.

Lundgren was recently promoted to the position of Chief Deputy Sheriff at the McDonough County Sheriff's Office. He's spent the last seven years as police chief in Blandinsville.

His last day on the job will be Sept. 15.

Assistant Police Chief Robert Phelps will stand in as interim-police chief.
