The Quincy Public School board made some major changes to student discipline policies at the beginning of this year.
Now they're taking a closer look at discipline policies for students participating in extracurricular activities.
Scott Stone, chairman of the QPS Discipline Subcommittee, says the goal is to make the extracurricular codes more clear cut.
Stone says it's seemed to contradict itself in some areas, making it hard to enforce the stricter penalties.
"The policy itself had some inconsistencies in it where different infractions were classified differently within the policy where administration as well as the board felt different infractions should be treated the same," said Stone.
Stone says the board also agreed to allow coaches to impose their own rules for their teams, as long as they are outlined to students and parents ahead of time.
