HANNIBAL, Mo. (WGEM) -

Another local Red Cross Chapter is being consolidated as Hannibal will lose its office next month.

Red Cross officials say the Northeast Missouri Chapter will be consolidated with the Greater St. Louis Region.

The move will reportedly save $87,000 a year.

Officials say when the Hannibal office closes Oct. 1, organizers will work regionally to attract additional volunteers, donors and partners to serve our area.

Officials say services will continue uninterrupted in all seven Northeast Missouri counties.

Those requiring Red Cross services will have to call the St. Louis office at (312)516-2800.
