Police: Quincy raid uncovers meth production, two kids in home

QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -

Authorities say two children were found in a residence where meth was being produced Sunday night in Quincy.

Police raided a home on the 900 block of North 11th Street at 10 p.m. where Larry A. Maggart, 38, April M. Baker, 33, and Robert M. Miller, 51 were all arrested on meth charges.

Illinois State Police Master Sergeant Patrick Frazier says officers found a shake and bake meth lab, processed meth, several items used to make meth, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Frazier says the investigation will continue and additional arrests are possible.

Maggart and Baker were charged with aggravated participation in meth production, unlawful use of property and meth related child endangerment. Miller was arrested on aggravated participation in meth production and unlawful possession of meth.

The two children were handed over to the Department of Children and Family Services.
