September heat is good for some local businesses

This hot weather is turning into an unseasonable "boom" for some businesses.

There are a number of Tri-State businesses that are used to cashing-in during June, July and August. But, they're not used to being so busy this time of the year.

TCBY manager Sheryl Scarbrough says the frozen yogurt business is really booming during this unseasonably hot weather. Scarbrough says the heat helps to bring in more people, than the shop is used to seeing in September.

"The nights are really busy. The days, kind of slow. After school we get really, really busy. And then at night, probably anywhere from 6:30pm to about 8:30pm, it's pretty busy. People like to sit out on the patio," said Scarbrough.

Scarbrough also says she has told her employees to hang in there because a break in the heat is on the way.
