The Quincy man accused of stabbing an elderly woman last month was sentenced to 25 years in prison during a court appearance Tuesday afternoon.
Turhan D. Bowen, 51, pled guilty to one count of home invasion as part of a plea deal, according to court documents. In addition to prison time, Bowen was ordered to pay $21,885 in restitution.
Bowen was also facing three other charges including attempted first degree murder, armed robbery and unlawful restraint. Those charges were dropped as part of the deal.
Bowen was accused of stabbing 82-year-old Patricia Hinton in the neck before leaving her in her home with her mouth taped shut and hands bound.
Hinton did recover from her injuries.
