For some living in Marion County, you may be wondering why you got your water bill late or not at all.
Customers say this is the first month where water meters are read automatically and not by residents. According to Marion County Public Water Supply District One, there was a mix up at a St. Louis Postal facility where the water bills were sent. In fact some of the bills made it all the way to Alabama, but customer John O' Brian said the Water Supply district isn't to blame.
"It appears to me that all the people on this end did exactly what they were supposed to do. As it comes to completion of the cycle, something didn't happen that was supposed to," he said.
Because of the mix up, the Water District is waiving all late fee charges this month.
