The Quincy man involved in a nearly 21-hour standoff with police last February pled guilty to child sex charges Monday in Adams County court.
Donald R. Pruett, 53, pled guilty to criminal aggravated sexual assault. Two other counts, including battery and obstruction, were dropped as part of a plea deal with the Adams County State's Attorney office.
Pruett was sentenced to four-and-a-half years in prison.
Police investigators went to Pruett's home Feb. 18 to question him about an alleged sexual assault of a minor. He let the investigators inside his home but then barricaded himself in a bedroom for the next several hours.
Pruett surrendered to authorities the next morning without incident.
