Authorities say a Keokuk man was arrested Tuesday on drug charges after running from police.
Lee County Narcotics Task Force Commander Stacy Weber says Derek A. Westwater was arrested on multiple drug arrest warrants in 1000 block of Main Street in Keokuk.
Westwater is charged with two counts of purchasing more than 7,500 milligrams of pseudophedrine and a parole violation in Missouri. If convicted, Westwater faces up to two years in prison.
Weber says the arrest stems from a report that he was seen in the area of 9th and Timea streets in Keokuk. When authorities arrived in the area, Westwater took off running and was caught a short time later.
