Hannibal man dead after motorcycle accident


A Hannibal man is dead after a motorcycle accident in Ralls County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 43-year old Alphonse Berghager was driving south on Route O one mile south of Hannibal Wednesday night, when he failed to negotiate a corner, ran off the side of the road, and overturned several times, ejecting both himself and his 15-year old passenger. He was pronounced dead at 7:45 by the Ralls County Coroner.

The passenger was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital with moderate injuries.
