A sign that fall has finally arrived is the beginning of festivals here in the tri-states.
Hundreds came out to the Barry apple festival Saturday.
Some of the events included a parade, a baby and pet show, and a 5k run/walk.
Area residents say the festival is a long standing tradition that they don't like to miss.
"The parade was fun and I like seeing all the smiling faces and all my friends and family. All my life I've been coming to the Barry Apple Festival either watch the parade of be in the parade," said Junior Miss Pike County Ali Nicole Browning.
The festival ends tomorrow.
