Kids bring their furry friends to the Teddy Bear Clinic

Parents and children visited Blessing Hospital Sunday afternoon  - but no one was sick. It was to take part in the 25th Annual Teddy Bear Clinic.

This free event was held by the Blessing-Rieman Student Nurse Organization. The clinic is designed to help children realize the importance of good health and overcome fears of a check-up by conducting a check-up on their favorite doll or stuffed toy.

Organizers say they had several stations set up for the child to visit. "Caring for your teeth. And the next one is giving your babies immunizations. And then we have bike safety. And then if you go towards the hallway there's radiology, you can actually look at your babies bones," said nursing student TJ Tester.

Tester also says they love doing this event because they love seeing the kids smiling and learning good things about their bodies.
