Ursa man dies after being hit by car

URSA, Ill. (WGEM) -

An Adams County man passed away Sunday from injuries sustained when he was hit by a car over a week earlier.

Adams County Coroner James Keller says 90-year-old Chester Woodworth died Sunday evening at Blessing Hospital.

According to Adams County Sheriff Brent Fischer, Woodworth was walking on Highway 96 Saturday, Oct. 5 around 8 p.m. when he was struck by an oncoming vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle suffered no injuries and was not ticketed.
