Quincy man arrested on drug charges

A Quincy man was arrested, and a child taken from his custody, after cannabis was found in his apartment.

According to the West Central Illinois Task Force, 27 year old Raphael Wires was arrested for Unlawful Possession of Cannabis with  the Intent to Deliver Friday afternoon. Troopers say they found cannabis, packaging materials, and digital scales at his apartment on 3100 State Street.

He is currently in the Adams County Jail, and troopers say more arrests are anticipated.
