Hancock County deputies arrested a Wyoming, Illinois man on a warrant for home repair fraud.
Sheriff Scott Bentzinger said deputies arrested Perry P. Porter, 59, Tuesday.
Bentzinger said Porter charged an 83-year-old man $6,000 for some repairs to his home.
Bentzinger said the elderly man agreed to pay Porter the money to fix the lightning rod clamp, patch the roof and caulk the gutters.
Bentzinger said the repairs were of poor quality and the price he charged was far more than the job was worth.
