Guthrie fires final round 64 for top five finish at Shriners Open

(WGEM) -- For Quincy native Luke Guthrie, his rookie season on the PGA Tour has proved to be one of several ups and downs, but Sunday's final round of the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open was one of the better moments of his young career.

After starting the day in a tie for 21st, Guthrie fired a 64 in the final round, with seven birdies, and no bogeys, finishing with the top score of the day and in an overall tie for 5th place.

The second top five finish of his PGA career earned Guthrie a check of $210,750 dollars.

Guthrie has now earned well over one million dollars on the PGA Tour.
