Red Hat Ladies looking to make Christmas brighter for local kids

One Tri-State nursing home wants to put more gifts under the Christmas tree for less fortunate kids.

The Red Hat Ladies of Quincy's Sunset Home are collecting toys for local children as part of their annual toy drive. Organizer Judy Moss said their hope is to make Christmas a little brighter for local kids.

"It was so heart-breaking for these kids to wake up with no toys at Christmas time," said Moss. "I think it's important for us to donate the toys, so they don't have to wake up with nothing underneath the tree."

The Red Hat Ladies are also collecting money to buy toys. You can drop off toys or cash donations until November 15 at Sunset Home.
