Teen sentenced for Sprout's construction site fire


The teenager who set fire to the site of the new Sprouts Inn restaurant was sentenced to 30 months probation Tuesday.

According to court records, Alex Frieden, 18, of Quincy was sentenced for setting an early morning fire March 31 at the construction site of the new Sprouts Inn. He was arrested in June and charged with arson, a class 2 felony.

He pled guilty to the charge in September.

Frieden was also ordered to pay $2,500 in restitution, along with other court fees.
