HANNIBAL, Mo. (WGEM) -

The American Legions Riders Post 55 hosted its annual Veterans Day Parade in downtown Hannibal.

The parade covered 7 blocks and included businesses, school groups and civic organizations.
But to some, this parade isn't just an ordinary parade.

"Its so important, to us, that when we can get out on this Veterans Day and have this parade and have the memorial services that we have, that we give honor and tribute to those, especially those in the nursing homes" said veteran Ronn Pashia.

Organizers were happy with the turn out and hopes to continue the awareness for veteran support.
