Warmer temperatures may give you another chance to clean up your yard

QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) - The warmer temperatures mean you may have one more chance to get your yard waste picked up.

Evans Recycling in Quincy has a collection site that will take leaves, brush, grass, and twigs. Owner Roy Evans said they usually have a steady line, especially this time of year.

"There's usually three or four or five trucks dumping at one time," said Evans.

Evans Recycling will also take large branches or logs.

"The city brings in stuff that's four feet in diameter, trees that are four feet in diameter," said Evans. "And I can grind something in that grinder up to nine feet in diameter."

Evans Recycling is open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. through the middle of December.
