Thousands report power outages in Adams County

QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) - Thousands reported power outages in Adams County.

According to Ameren Illinois, at around 4:00 Sunday afternoon there were nearly 7,000 Adams County residents without power.

In Quincy, several stoplights down Maine Street were out. Some area businesses, like the Quincy YMCA, had to close their doors while in the dark.

Many Quincy residents reported down trees and other minor damage as well.
