Quincy officials prep for second snowfall

The Tri-States is could see its second significant snowfall for the season Friday.

Richie Reis of Quincy's Central Services said it's not pre-treating any roads but will have salt trucks out as soon as the snow starts.

The city has 12 plows available and will have workers out on 12-hour shifts around the clock if it's necessary.

"Once the snow storm starts, we'll send the trucks out on their designated routes," Reis said. "We have 12 routes throughout the city of Quincy and we'll treat all the main snow emergency routes. Once we get those done we'll move to the secondary roads."
