KEOKUK, Ia. (WGEM) - Three Keokuk residents arrested Thursday on felony and misdemeanor drug charges.

The Lee County Narcotics Task Force says it arrested Jerred Alan Hill, 34, Ninette Lynn Whippie, 44, and Brandon Paul Harold Whippie, 24, all of 3628 Iowa Road in Keokuk.

Hill is charged with maintaining a drug house and possession of drug paraphernalia. If convicted, Hill faces up to two years and 30 days in state prison.

Ninette Whippie is charged with delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a public park and maintaining a drug house. If convicted, Whippie faces up to 17 years in state prison.

Brandon Whippie is charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana within 1,000 feet of a public park, a drug tax stamp violation, possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a drug house. If convicted, Whippie faces up to 17 years and 30 days in state prison.

The task force says the arrests stem from an investigation into the distribution of illegal drugs in the area. It served a search warrant at the home and officials say they found evidence to support the charges.

The Lee County Attorney's Office, the Lee County Sheriff's Office, the Iowa State Penitentiary K9 Unit, and the Keokuk Police Department helped with the investigation.
