West Burlington man killed in weather related car accident

West Burlington police say treacherous road conditions were the cause of a fatal car accident Friday night.

It happened on 406th road in West Burlington, one mile south of Old Highway 34.

Officers say 66 year old Gregory Strandberg was traveling north when his car slid into the southbound lane, causing another car to collide with him.

The other driver was injured and taken to an area hospital.
