Keokuk man arrested for delivering pot near park

LEE COUNTY, Ia. (WGEM) - A Keokuk man was arrested earlier this week in Hancock County on felony drug warrants.

The Lee County Narcotics Task Force says Hamilton police arrested Clifton C. Fields, 35.

Fields was extradited to the Lee County Sheriff's Office.

Fields is charged with three counts of a drug tax stamp violation, two counts of delivering marijuana within 1,000 feet of a public park, delivering marijuana, and ongoing criminal conduct. If convicted, Fields could get up to 65 years in state prison.

The Lee County Attorney's Office, Hamilton Police Department, Hancock County Sheriff's Office, Lee County Sheriff's Office, Tactical Response Unit of Keokuk and Fort Madison police officers, Iowa State Penitentiary K9 Unit, and Keokuk Police Department helped the task force in the investigation.
