Two people injured in Wednesday morning shooting

Quincy police are investigating a New Year's Day shooting that sent two people to the hospital.

Officers responded to the 600 block of College Street just before 5:30 a.m.

A 29-year-old man and a 25-year-old man were taken to Blessing Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the incident doesn't appear to be a random shooting.

They also say several other people, including children, were in the home at the time of the shooting, but were not harmed.
