Palmyra School District unveils projects for 2014

One local school district has a big checklist to get through in 2014, but it depends on the voters if it'll get done.

The Palmyra School District will look to put a no tax increase bond issue for the public to vote in April to improve the district.  That money will allow the district to improve school security, parking lots, and more energy efficient uses.  Superintendent Eric Churchwell said the benefits of these projects will be seen for years.

"We're constantly doing routine maintenance such as replacing roofs, painting, general maintenance and those type of things.  But this will get our facilities really I think good to go for the next twenty plus years," Churchwell said.

Churchwell said the cost of these projects will be around $7 million.
