Quincy man arrested on drug and weapon charges

QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) - The Quincy Police Department says a man was arrested late Monday night after officers found drugs and ammunition in his home.

Lt. Jason Simmons says 24-year-old Brock Carter was arrested and charged with possession of meth, possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful use of a weapon and possession of ammunition without a FOID card. Carter's first court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 16.

Simmons says a caller complained that Carter had a weapon. When officers arrived at the residence at 1127 Adams St., Carter allowed officers to search his home. Officers say they found brass knuckles.
