ADAMS COUNTY, Ill. (WGEM) - A three-month investigation into a string of burglaries in Adams County led deputies to arrest two men Thursday.

The Adams County Sheriff's Office says 20-year-old Austin Welty, of Mt. Sterling, and 21-year-old Tyler McLennan, of Camp Point, face multiple counts of burglary and theft in connection with recent burglaries in the Clayton and Camp Point areas.

According to a release, undercover officers bought stolen items in Quincy, leading to the search of garages in Camp Point and Brown County.

Deputies say they found numerous stolen items, including a stolen gun, in the garages.
