Two Adams County men arrested in connection with string of burglaries

ADAMS COUNTY, Ill. (WGEM) -
A three-month investigation into a string of burglaries in Adams County led deputies to arrest two men Thursday.
The Adams County Sheriff's Office says 20-year-old Austin Welty, of Mt. Sterling, and 21-year-old Tyler McLennan, of Camp Point, face multiple counts of burglary and theft in connection with recent burglaries in the Clayton and Camp Point areas.
According to a release, undercover officers bought stolen items in Quincy, leading to the search of garages in Camp Point and Brown County.
Deputies say they found numerous stolen items, including a stolen gun, in the garages.
