QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -- Quincy University head coach Marty Bell says guard Scottie Bruxvoort has taken a leave of absence from the Hawks for personal reasons.

Bruxvoort injured his knee before the season started, then played in 12 of the Hawks 18 games including 10 starts.

The red-shirt freshman is averaging 10 and a half points and five rebounds a game while shooting close to 50-percent from the field.

There is no timetable for Bruxvoort's return.

The Hawks will try and snap a four-game losing streak when they visit Rockhurst on Saturday afternoon.
