QUINCY, Il. (WGEM) -- In front of a packed house the Quincy University women's basketball team made sure their fans went home happy on Thursday night.

Hannah Weedman's three with less than 10 seconds left may have been the game winner but as Weedman points out, it wouldn't have been possible without Maggie Cunningham who had a career high 29 points.

"Maggie (Cunningham) really stepped up as our point guard," Weedman told WGEM Sports.

"She had a phenomenal game, and honestly we fed off of her energy and she, as a point guard, held our team together (Thursday)."

"She made sure we got things done, we executed, and play defense to the best of our ability. That's how we came out with the 'W.'"

The Lady Hawks improved to (10-0) at home this season and they've won seven straight games.

Missouri S&T pays a visit to Pepsi Arena on Saturday afternoon with tip-off scheduled for 1 o'clock.
