MACOMB, Il. (WGEM) -- Her mind may have been made up a few months ago, but on Monday Macomb's Karyn Paisley made her college decision official and took the next step in her cross country career.

Paisley signed her national letter of intent with NCAA Division II McKendree following a phenomenal career as a Lady Bomber, which she capped off with a personal-best time and 13th place finish at the state meet last fall.

Paisley also helped Macomb wins its first regional title in three decades and she's the reigning People's Choice Award winner for WGEM Fall Athlete of the Year.

"Once I visited that school it was just the perfect fit for me," Paisley told WGEM Sports.

"I just fell in love with the campus, and I really like the coach there, and I valued what he believed in. He believed in others on the team. So I was just really excited to be able to select that school and go there."

Paisley leaves Macomb as the most decorated female cross country runner in program history winning 24 meets over her four year career.
