QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -- Quincy High's Zach Kuhlman-Pfeiffer took the next step in his career on Monday afternoon by agreeing to tee it up at Culver-Stockton this fall.

Kuhlman-Pfeiffer has come a long way in a short amount of time and helped lead the Blue Devils to a third place finish at the state tournament last season.

Now his sights are set on even bigger things in Canton.

"From my stand point the more I play the better I get. My goal is to finally get to the point where I'm consistently around par, or even under par," Kuhlman-Pfeiffer said.

"Hopefully that will bring me to wherever I need to go at Culver."

C-SC head coach Tim Schrage is eager to see what the future holds for his latest recruit.

"I've seen Zach grow up since the age of 10 or 11 and seen his game progress over the last six-to-seven years," Schrage explained.

"It's tremendous how much one can improve with the work ethic he's had over the years."

Kuhlman-Pfeiffer joins an impressive freshman class heading to Culver-Stockton which includes area standouts Hunter Baggett from Palmyra and Ben Hooker from Brown County.
