Camp Point man injured while driving motorcycle in St. Charles, Mo.

CAMP POINT, Ill. -- A Camp Point man was injured in a motorcycle-car crash at 4 p.m. Thursday in St. Charles, Mo.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Nathaniel J. Royalty, 27, of Camp Point was driving a 2007 Harley-Davidson motorcycle east on Highway 94 at Cedar Glen Drive when the motorcycle struck the rear of a 2013 Chevrolet Cruze driven by Michelle T. Saffo, 46, of St. Charles, who had stopped her vehicle in traffic.

Royalty was ejected from the motorcycle and suffered moderate injuries. He was taken by ambulance to St. Joseph Health Center East in St. Charles.

Saffo was not injured.

The highway patrol said the motorcycle was totaled, while the car sustained minor damage.
