Donations needed for 50th Annual "Dress An Angel" program

QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) - You can help put a smile on a child's face this Easter.

The Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary is raising money and clothes for its 50th Annual "Dress An Angel" program. It provides kids age 12 and under with a new outfit for Easter Sunday, along with other personal care items.

Salvation Army officials hope to dress 300 kids this year.

"This gives them the opportunity to have that, and to arrive at church excited, just like the rest of the kids," Major Cheryl Miller of the Quincy Salvation Army said. "Because they have something new on and have that new experience for Easter."

The collection drive continues through March 31st and clothes will be handed out April 12th. If you would like your child to participate in the program, you need to apply by March 20th at the Family Service Center at 501 Broadway in Quincy.
