Bald eagle will be released Sunday after rehabilitation for injury

QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) - A bald eagle will soon be soaring through the sky again thanks to help from some people in Quincy.

The bald eagle who volunteers have named General was found in a trap in Adair County last month, and was nursed back to health by people at the Raptor Rehabilitation Center in Quincy.

It is a non-profit organization that strives to recover and preserve birds of prey.

If you would like to see the release you can head down to the boat ramp at Lock and Dam 21 at 1 p.m. on Sunday in Quincy.
