HANCOCK COUNTY, Ill. (WGEM) -
A Hancock County semi crash spills hazardous materials on the road.

According to the Illinois State Police, Jeffery Rushing, 43, of Louisiana, was driving his tractor trailer north on the Fountain Green Blacktop just south of Illinois Route 9 around 6:40 Wednesday night, when he drove into the opposite lane, and rolled the semi onto the driver's side.

Troopers say the crash caused a minor pesticide leak. Rushing was injured but refused medical treatment. He faces multiple charges, including improper lane usage, disobeying a traffic control device, over length on combination, and various log book violations.
