Yard waste pickup begins Monday in Quincy

QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) - Warmer weather means more play time outside, but it also means it's time for yard work. Starting Monday, Evans Recycling will be starting its curbside pick up of yard waste.

Manager John Dunmire says they will accept grass, leaves, twigs and brush. Dunmire says make sure containers are marked with an X so that the containers will be clearly seen.

"We do start at 7a.m., so we don't want to miss nobody," Dunmire said. "So we ask to have it out the night before. And your pickup day will be on the same day as your recycling and garbage."

If you are including twigs and branches in your yard waste, Dunmire says to be sure they are less than two inches in diameter and no more than four to five feet long.
