Hannibal students build a house

Students can do some amazing things in the classroom, but building a house is one of the most impressive.

Students with the Hannibal Career and Technical Center's Building Trades program are in the process of building a split level house.
The house is appraised at $193,000, but it's not known how much the school district is asking for the home.
Hannibal Career and Technical Center Director Roger McGregor, says it not only benefits the city but the students as well.

"It teaches them how to start a project, the steps involved with that and the steps involved with putting it together and completing it," McGregor said.  "It teaches them a full range and spectrum of a job."

McGregor says this is the 43rd home students in this program have built over the years.
